SearchForJobs (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by Zayn Productions Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

• Account data — email, name, optional phone number, supplied via Clerk authentication.
• Career profile — work history, skills, education, target salary, location preferences — supplied by you.
• Job application data — job descriptions you paste, AI-generated grades, CVs, cover letters, Q&A drafts.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, time on site. Anonymous and aggregate, only collected if you consent to optional analytics cookies.
• Waitlist email — if you join the waitlist on our homepage.

• Contract — to provide the SearchForJobs service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
• Consent — for optional analytics, marketing emails, and the waitlist (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw at any time.
• Legitimate interests — security monitoring and platform abuse prevention (Article 6(1)(f)).

We never sell your personal data. We use the following processors, each under data-processing agreements:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Upstash — encrypted database storage (EU region).
• Anthropic — to process your job descriptions and generate scores, CVs and cover letters. Anthropic does not train on your data.
• Vercel — hosting and optional anonymous analytics.
• Brevo — only if you have opted in to marketing emails or the waitlist.

All processors are bound by UK GDPR-equivalent terms.

Some processors (Clerk, Anthropic, Vercel) are based outside the UK. Transfers rely on UK International Data Transfer Agreements or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.

• Account & profile: until you delete your account.
• Job history: until you delete it (or your account).
• Waitlist email: until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity.
• Analytics: 13 months maximum.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate data corrected.
• Have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the lawful basis.

You can exercise the access, portability, and erasure rights directly:

• Export your data: Settings → Export my data.
• Delete your account & data: Settings → Delete my account.

If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication (Clerk session). These don't require consent.

We may use anonymous analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics) only if you opt in via our cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime by clearing site data.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

SearchForJobs is not for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

We'll notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the app before they take effect.
