Terms of Service

By creating an account or using SearchForJobs (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

SearchForJobs is an AI-powered job-search assistant. You paste a job description and our AI engine (searchforjobs.ai, powered by Anthropic's Claude model under the hood) scores it, tailors a CV, drafts a cover letter, and answers common application questions. We never submit applications on your behalf — every submission is your decision and your action.

• You must be 16 or over to use the Service.
• You agree to provide accurate information and not impersonate anyone else.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Don't share accounts or use the Service for someone else without their consent.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, automate, or stress-test the Service beyond normal use.
• Upload illegal, deceptive, or rights-infringing content.
• Use the Service to mass-apply to jobs or impersonate other candidates.
• Resell or commercially redistribute outputs without permission.
• Use the Service to train competing AI models.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

The Service is currently free during public beta. We may introduce paid tiers in future, with at least 14 days' notice to existing users before any charge applies. You'll always be able to keep using the free tier within fair-use limits.

You retain ownership of everything you upload (job descriptions, profile data) and everything we generate for you (CVs, cover letters, answers).

You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to provide the Service to you. We don't use your content to train AI models. Anthropic doesn't either — see our Privacy Policy.

AI outputs may contain errors. The A–F score is an opinion based on the JD and your profile — it is not a guarantee of fit, interview likelihood, or job offer. Always review AI-generated CVs and letters before submitting them. We don't guarantee any job outcome.

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may take the Service down for maintenance or updates without notice.

You can delete your account anytime via Settings → Delete my account. We'll erase your personal data within 30 days (see Privacy Policy section 6).

We may terminate or suspend accounts for serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited under English law.

We may update these Terms occasionally. We'll notify you by email or via a notice on the app at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England & Wales.
